Edelman Global Advisory names Helen Davies Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director for Economic Security
May 19, 2022 — WASHINGTON D.C. — Edelman Global Advisory (EGA) today announced Helen Davies as Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director for Economic Security. She joins the EGA management team to support its leadership in the organization’s international growth and provide counsel and expertise to clients seeking to navigate an ever-increasing network of trade and national security rules and regulations.
Davies, based in London, will report to EGA Chief Operating Officer, Leigh Wedell, and work closely with the Chair of North America and Global Trade Lead, Everett Eissenstat. In this role, she will join EGA leadership in directing the firm’s growth across the globe and developing scalable and innovative methods to address all current and future clients’ needs and business objectives.
Davies brings over three decades of public sector, agency and corporate experience, having worked for organizations such as Breakthrough Media, Kantar, the City of Melbourne and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Davies is an experienced and seasoned leader with a track record of both building businesses and solving significant strategic and social impact issues. She has led businesses as chief executive officer, managing director and managing partner, and has worked in large complex global organizations and established businesses from the ground up. Her international experience, especially in China and Europe, made her an ideal candidate for supporting the growth and management of EGA.
“Davies will be an excellent addition to our global leadership team given her wide breadth of experience and background in building operations,” says Wedell. “She will help our team in driving growth for EGA around the world, and in particular the United Kingdom and European Union, where Davies will play an integral role in enhancing EGA’s capabilities in the region.”
Davies worked as an independent senior consultant and strategic advisor for clients across the private sector, government and agencies. In these roles, Davies used her robust experience and reputation to deliver and add value to policy matters at the C-Suite, Board, and the highest levels of government.
Davies also consulted for corporate clients at leading agencies and with her own clients. In this role, she worked across the Asia-Pacific and in the United Kingdom. She helped grow these businesses, support business development and advise clients on a range of strategic issues.
“Davies’ deep experience in Asia and Europe makes her an outstanding addition to our team,” says Eissenstat. “With the rising impact of complex geopolitics, Davies counsel will be invaluable in helping fulfill client’s needs for comprehensive strategies to navigate economic sanctions and the rapidly changing global trade environment.”
