Edelman Global Advisory names Rob Rehg as Chair of EGA Client and Services Integration

August 1, 2022 — WASHINGTON, D.C. — Edelman Global Advisory (EGA)has named Rob Rehg as Chair of EGA Client and Services Integration, effective immediately.

Rehg, located in Washington, D.C., most recently held the position of Edelman’s Chair of U.S. Client Services. For more than three decades, Rehg worked in global public affairs, reputation management, crisis and issues management, mergers and acquisitions and integrated campaigns across a wide range of industries.

As Chair of EGA Client and Services Integration, Rehg will serve as an important bridge between EGA and Edelman. Rehg will drive new development and integration for EGA. He will focus on building EGA’s client and services business for both EGA’s current clients and for prospective clients.

In his past positions with Edelman, Rehg played a key role in building the agency’s public affairs offering in Washington, D.C. and around the world and developing an integrated client system for large U.S. clients. Rehg has served as Edelman’s Chair of U.S. Public Affairs, Chair of Global Public Affairs and Regional President, Edelman D.C.

In addition to his work at Edelman, Rehg has served as Director of Communications for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, working with the National Conference of Catholic Bishops where he coordinated media activities for Pope John Paul II's visit to Denver as part of World Youth Day. In politics, he was Chief of Staff for Michigan Representative Bill Schuette and Director of Communications and Policy for Michigan Representative Dave Camp. Rehg was also an Adjunct Professor for the University of Virginia’s professional education program, teaching courses in reputation management, media relations and public relations for several years.

As a journalist, Rehg worked as a congressional correspondent for Hearst Newspapers' Washington Bureau, writing for newspapers in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, New York, Texas, Michigan, Illinois and Florida. Prior to joining the Washington Bureau, Rehg was an editor, political columnist and reporter for Hearst Newspapers in Michigan and Illinois, and a radio reporter for stations in St. Louis, Missouri. He also is a long-time board member of the International Center for Journalists.
