Edelman Appoints Claudia La Donna as CEO, Brussels
Monday, January 27, 2025 – BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – Edelman is pleased to announce the appointment of Claudia La Donna as CEO, Brussels. Claudia will oversee the strategic direction and growth of Edelman's Brussels operations, and the tech, media and telecom offer in EMEA, leveraging her twenty-five years’ experience in public and government affairs.
Claudia brings to Edelman a distinguished career spanning consultancies, in-house roles, and the European Commission. With a proven track record of managing high-impact public affairs and policy communications, and providing strategic counsel on technology, sustainability, and competition policy among others, Claudia will enhance Edelman’s ability to increase clients’ understanding and influence in the European Union’s complex public policy landscape.

Before joining Edelman, Claudia served as Managing Director of European Affairs at Hanover Communications, where she led a team of 30 in executing public affairs campaigns across Europe. Her prior roles include positions at Newgate Communications, The Centre in Brussels, Sky Italia, and the European Commission. Claudia’s comprehensive experience in sectors such as technology, e-commerce, media and telecoms, as well as her knowledge of environmental policy, mean she is a trusted advisor to global organizations.

Claudia holds an LL.M. in International and Community Law from the Institute for European Studies, Free University of Brussels, and a JD in Law from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome. She is an active member of the Strategic Advisory Council for the Institute for European Environmental Policy. In addition to her professional achievements, Claudia is a lecturer and thesis supervisor at the Free University of Brussels, and she co-leads the Women Professionals in Digital Policy network.
